Children and pets

Children
Most cottages will provide suitable facilities for young children such as cots, baby chairs etc. free of charge, although you may need to request these in advance to your arrival. In some cases you will need to provide your own bed linen for a cot. This should include a plastic undersheet even if the child is still in nappies. A cot may only be occupied by a child aged 24 months or less. It is also considerably important to think about the safety of your children in the surrounding areas of the cottage. E.g. some cottages may have high cliffs nearby so it is a good idea to ask the owner about any dangers you may need to think about before booking.

Pets
Not all cottages will allow pets, some will, and some will charge an extra fee (although guide dogs for the partially sighted or hearing dogs for the deaf should be allowed in all cottages with no extra charge). Pets must be kept under control and should not be allowed to climb on the furniture, especially the beds. Make sure that you inform the owner of the cottage before bringing any pets (including guide dogs) with you.
